A main feature of the recent Kings Cross clean-up was the injection of history via bronze footpath inlays replete with text from notable residents and/or commentators. This one is from Ruth Bee, a genuine eccentric who denounced religion and lived on the street despite an inheritance. She listed several of my favourite things.
Once was: "Suddenly freelance journo, 37, desperately seeking a decent place for a quiet drink."
Currently part-time journo, 38, desperately seeking a decent place to live.
